A beautiful and spacious 92 sq. meter (1,000 sq. ft.) second floor two bedroom apartment,
overlooking the tree lined canal, La Robine, in the pretty city of Narbonne.
Boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants are within a five to ten minute walk and just a few minutes more will take you to the fabulous historic buildings or the indoor gourmet market.
Many of the city's streets and bridges are laden with floral baskets welcoming visitors to smell the flowers and enjoy its relaxed pace.
Just a minute's walk away is a pretty park with a boules pitch and wonderful little playground at one end; and a canal view and little stream at the other - a peaceful spot to lie in the sun or under the shade of the trees.
Narbonne is perfectly situated for a beautiful 15 minute drive to the beach or heading off further a field to explore the historic sites of the region such as Carcassonne, Minerve, Sete, Collioure, Lagrasse and the wine regions of Corbieres and Minervois.
Although car rental is recommended, the train station is within walking distance and there are buses to the coast.

The
open plan dining and living room has lovely views of the boats on the
tree-lined canal, the top of the medieval cathedral and terracotta tiled townhouse
rooftops. Renovated and furnished in 2005, the apartment has still
retained its original features such as wooden beams, doors and
traditional shutters on long windows. There are dining table and chairs
as well as a comfortable seating area with TV, DVD, Radio/CD/MP3 player.
The kitchen is large with a separate dining area, and has a traditional feel though it has all modern
appliances including dishwasher, large fridge freezer, washing machine,
electric convection oven, microwave and both gas and electric stove top.
The Juliette Balcony is perfect for morning coffee or afternoon tea. The
master bedroom has a Queen-size bed, fitted wardrobe and lovely views of
the canal and the leafy courtyard of the neighbouring winery. The second
bedroom has twin beds and fitted wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower,
bidet, large sink and heated towel rack with a separate washroom.
Electric fans are available for summer and there is modern central
heating for winter. There is plenty of free parking outside the
apartment.
Note: There are 2 flights of stairs with 20 steps each to reach the apartment. There is no elevator.
